Most municipalities and venues insist that people who rent or use their facilities carry liability insurance. Please be sure to check your contract thoroughly to ensure you purchase limits that meet or exceed the minimum limits you are contractually obligated to carry. However even where you are not required to carry insurance, it is a very good idea to get the protection and peace of mind that comes with CRIS Facility Users' Insurance – why take the risk?
Your facility/venue rental contract should state the minimum liability limits you are required to carry. We recommend carrying a $5,000,000 limit – with the amounts awarded by courts in civil lawsuits continuing to increase, the extra protection provides you with additional peace of mind, at a very reasonable cost.
Yes:Sign In and click “My Account”, where you’ll see your active insurance certificates listed. Click next to an active certificate to edit any aspect of your event and/or coverage. Depending on the change(s), you may be required to pay additional premium and fees, or you may have premium returned to you. Please note that a certificate showing any change will automatically be sent to the applicable municipality.
Yes:Sign In and click “My Account”, where you’ll see your active insurance certificates listed. Click next to an active certificate to cancel your coverage. Cancellations are effective 12:01am the next day, and any return premium owing you will be credited to your credit card. Please note that the applicable municipality will be automatically notified of the cancellation.

Adding alcohol to the mix at any event increases the odds of injury or property damage, often significantly. Your duty of care increases further when you sell alcohol, and the more you sell, the greater the risk you take on. It’s important that you disclose the presence and/or sales of any alcohol – IF YOU DON’T, YOUR COVERAGE MAY BE VOID.
ALWAYS make sure you have multiple ways for people to get home safely (taxis, ride sharing, etc.) or accommodations. Make sure no one drinks excessively and ensure proper permits are in place.

Click the box next to “I can’t find my activity” right under the activity selection field, then enter as much information as you can about your activity or event (please particularly include information about whether the event includes any contact, padding, etc.) and we’ll get you a quote as soon as we’ve reviewed the activity.
Unfortunately 18 months is the longest policy term we're able to offer - sorry. We suggest you add a reminder to your calendar near the end of your 18 month policy to come back and purchase another policy to cover the balance of your event.
